  • Do you provide a free estimate?

Yes, there is no charge for an estimate. You can either call us at (262) 679-4800 to schedule with a salesperson or fill out a request on our website.

  • Do you add to existing garages?

Yes, we can add to attached or detached garages. According to Way, a vehicle services resource, the standard garage size for a two-car garage can be 360, 400, 484, 576, or 720 square feet. Our garage builders are more than happy to go over our custom garage construction options with you. Contact us today to get started.

  • How long will the garage take to complete?

The entire length of the project from start to finish is approximately 5-8 weeks depending on the project. Typically, projects starting in spring have a more compressed timeline.

  • What size garage can I build on my property?

Every municipality has their own rules and regulations on the size, height, and location of a garage. Your local building inspector can help answer questions pertaining to location of new garage, size, and height. Most inspectors are available weekday mornings.

  • Do I need a permit and survey for my new garage?

Yes, all municipalities require a demolition permit (if applicable), building permit, and electrical permit. Some municipalities also require an additional zoning permit. Classic Builders will obtain all required permits for your project.

All municipalities also require a property survey, except for the city of Milwaukee. If you don’t have a copy of the survey, your municipality might have one on file. Otherwise, there are several surveying companies that can provide you with one. Classic Builders also can help with this process.

  • Do you build pole barns?

No, we don't offer pole or pole construction. Our garage builders only offer stick build. Get in touch with us today for more questions like this one.

  • When can I drive on my new concrete?

    • We recommend the following schedule for new concrete:
    • No foot traffic for 48 hours
    • No wheels for 5-7 days (bikes, strollers, scooters, walkers, etc)
    • No parking vehicles on the new concrete for 10 days
  • Will there be a dumpster on site for my project?

If Classic Builder is removing an existing garage, then we will have a dumpster on site for the removal of the old garage. The dumpster is dropped off the morning of the demolition and is picked up before the end of that day (it will not stay overnight).
